Prostate Health & Pad Placements

I’m a big believer that the men in our society are so incredibly important, but that often their struggles are left unaddressed and hidden behind closed doors. I believe that empowering the healthy qualities of masculinity is key for the health and wellness of us all.

Many men strive day in and day out for their families, for their communities and to stay strong in hard times. Often this results in insufficient rest and can lead to their own health falling by the wayside. That’s why I want to address the topic of prostate health. This can range from sexual health to prostate cancer, and many things in between.

Let’s see how light therapy can help!

What impacts men’s sexual health?

Broadly speaking, sexual health refers to a state of well-being where a man can fully participate in sexual activity while also being able to enjoy it. So many things can impact this and often go unspoken about, including: physical, psychological, interpersonal, and social factors.

When talking specifically about the prostate, it is “prone to three main conditions: Prostatitis: infection or inflammation of the prostate; Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH): aging-related enlargement of the prostate gland; and Prostate cancer: the growth of cancerous cells inside the prostate, which may break out of the gland and affect other parts of the body.” (Article 2.)

There are many things that can lead to this, but specifically, these can cause men’s sexual health to decrease:

  • Stress

  • Depression

  • Relationship Issues

  • Abnormally Low Testosterone

  • Damage from urological surgery

  • Cholesterol-clogged arteries.

Beyond light therapy, there are a couple of things that can help men build greater health overall. This includes a focus on stress reduction, an increase in physical exercise, and eating a healthy diet. These can also help men with their sexual health.

Here’s how light therapy can help:

Increased blood flow is one of the greatest benefits of light therapy. The lights actively increase circulation to allow for your body to regulate and care for itself during a light therapy session when your body interacts with the different wavelengths of light. During this time it devotes its energy to circulation, ATP production, and cellular healing.

The circulation issues that can cause men to have problems with their prostate are then mitigated and successfully remedied so that you can perform in the way you want with your loved one.

Pad Placements to help with prostate health:

Facemask: You can place this pad over your eyes. This focuses on circulation and allows your body to calm down as your body is better able to regulate hormones. (Including sexual hormones.)

Square (Red & Infrared): You’ll place this pad over your tummy; again this focuses heavily on circulation and also on gut health.

Skinny Rectangle (Tri-color): You’ll place this pad over your mid-back to help your adrenals and circulation.

Big Rectangle (Red & Infrared): This adds extra focus to all of the major organs and your circulatory system along your midsection. You’ll place this over your lower back to amplify the healing.

Tpad (Red & Infrared): This pad will be placed carefully over the groin. It draws more blood flow and the infrared lights help target hormone regulation.
