Teaching You About Pad Placements - How to Use Your System to Conquer Depression

I’ve spent the past year sharing my passion for light therapy and the different things that it can treat. But it felt like I wasn’t fully serving people who have their own systems. So, I went to bat for you and found a way to share even more knowledge about not just light therapy, but with SPECIFIC pad placement information.

What does this mean for you? If you have a system of your own, now I can share exclusive information with you about how to utilize your system at home. I’ll still share information about what light therapy can help heal, but with even more applied information.

For this week, I’m going to talk with you about depression and how to target your depression with pad placement. As I explore this process with you, please feel free to contact me if this kind of information is helpful. I always welcome your feedback!

Conquering Depression with Light Therapy

“Depression (major depressive disorder) - is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act.” Depression commonly affects an estimated 6.7% of adults within any given year. Here are some common symptoms:

  • Lasting sadness

  • Loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed

  • Emotional and physical struggles

  • Inability to function at work and at home

Important to note:

Feeling sadness and loss does not always correlate to being depressed. If you are currently grieving, this is a natural process and has a period of time where you will be processing and may be more withdrawn than normal. If this is the case, lean on your loved ones and know that you can always reach out.

How Light Therapy helps:

Light therapy helps your body repair itself faster as it increases your circulation and ATP production. This is really helpful as the surge of blood flow to the frontal cortex of your brain. Several studies show that part of depression can be linked to abnormal blood flow to areas within the brain. It also helps with balancing serotonin which is key to regulating mood. On top of this, the increase in ATP gives you more energy to help you heal faster.

If you want to learn even more about this, you can read these articles I’ve written as well:

Now for the good stuff, how to place pads for Depression:

What system and package should you use for depression?

The best system for depression, anxiety and brain health in general is the 6 Port 4 Pad package (priced at $3,295). This gets you both the versatility that you need and has the pads that allow you to focus on helping your brain, especially with the facemask. You can also compliment this with the T-pad to get the most use out of targeting the areas that help most with blood flow and circulation.

How to place the pads:

  • Facemask: Place the pad over your eyes, make sure to keep your eyes closed at all times while the lights are on.

  • Lots of healing happens through the eyes, and it really enhances mood.

  • Square Pad: Place the pad over your tummy.

  • This helps with the inflammation, infection and illness that thrives in the gut which is ALSO impacting your depression and moods. The tummy feeds the brain therefore, having a healthy gut contributes to a healthy brain and healthy mood regulation.

  • Skinny Rectangle: Place this around your mid-back.

  • Give life to adrenals.

  • Rectangle: Wrap along your low back

  • This calms down the central nervous system and addresses your kidney's which filter a lot of the waste in your body and need extra care.

  • TPad (BONUS PAD): Place along the upper shoulders and up the back of the neck.

  • This feeds blood flow into the brain and addresses any neck issues. This really is powerful for helping to free up circulation and help the brain get what it needs so it can regulate moods.

What are the different colors of light within the pads and system?

The different colors of light helps to deliver frequencies into the body at different depths. Let me explain further.

Blue light enters down to the epidermis, 2 mm....which is about as thick as two credit cards stacked together. This light kills bacteria, addresses skin issues, improves facial scars and enhances mood (i.e., depression, anxiety, learning disabilities and behavioral issues).

Red light reaches 1/2 inch to 1 inch into the body. It delivers frequencies to muscle, tendon, ligaments, cartilage, soft tissue and even helps to produce collagen (for us anti-aging lovers.)

Infrared light penetrates 4 to 6 inches into the body. You cannot see infrared with the naked eye. This incredible light delivers nutrients to the bone (it even penetrates the skull). Which is amazing healing for anyone with any traumatic brain injury, and for regulating moods (i.e., depression, alzheimers, concussions, etc.)

Okay, that was a lot! But I’m so happy to finally be sharing this all with you. Please reach out if you have questions or need any clarification.

Sending so much love and cheer your way!
